I have been working on v2.5 of the Draknor client, so now is the time to submit any bugs you've found, or offer suggestions for the next version.
At the moment, this is what is done:
While going through history, the cursor moves to the input beginning
Command history increased to 50 (from 25)
Starting a command and hitting "up" will search the history for that string
The input text doesn't clear on trigger or macro execution
Blank macro names will save as blank, not "macro[#]"
Available font sizes include "15" now
Ctrl-V from input field will send the clipboard, without aliases, etc
A play clock shows how long you've been connected
A "pause" button stops the output (and displays it all once unpaused)
A "history" button opens a command history list
-- you can double click one to send to input text
From v2.0 on, the config files should always be forward-compatible
The macro buttons are wider and the "F#" label is in the button
You can now double-click an entry in the char picker list to connect
Fonts referenced in config that didn't exist caused lockups.
This is what is still planned:
A simple-to-access "notes" window, per-char.
Encrypt send-on-connect text (in config files) to protect passwords
Character lists (maybe triggers, aliases) will auto-sort alphabetically
Embed a fixed-width ("fixedsys") TTF font

Apparently I didn't post this before, doh! I'll see what I remember.
1. Client support of the MUD's built-in MCCP compression system.
2.
The macros I think could be formatted differently. If each "button" started with F1, F2, F3, etc, then having it to the left wouldn't be necessary. That way the buttons (and they text printed on them) could be expanded to fit the whole sidebar.
3. The sidebar could be a little wider to allow better naming of macros.
4. A shorter, "Vote on TMC" button could be stuck beneath the Website button to make it easier for players to vote on their favorite game (right, right!?).
I feel like I'm missing something, so I probably will keep posting. _________________ "There's no writer who has not had enough ego to hope something he or she wrote would be seized on by the public -- that something they write will last beyond them.
